ABOUT
I'm Elliot and I'm a builder based in Broad Haven, West Pembrokeshire. I began working in the building trade 20 years ago and have picked up many skills over that time. I began by specialising in carpentry but have then moved into general building works in particular more eco-building methods and materials. In recent years I have specialised in plastering and rendering, often using lime based materials. I recently completed a course in Tadelakt, a Moroccan lime plastering technique, which is not only environmental friendly but also water resistant making it perfect for wet rooms and alike.
Since 2007, I have regularly worked for architect, David Gomersall, on several large building projects as part of a small team of three or four builders. David designs eco-friendly, timber-framed homes using cutting edge technology and modern building materials and techniques. On these projects, I have been involved in all elements of the build, from laying the footings through to the second fix phase and finishing, even the painting and decorating in some cases.
On other large projects I work with another builder, Dave Finch, who has over 50 years experience in the building trade. Together we have worked on many renovation projects, extensions and new builds including a renovation and extension of the Old School House in Marloes which won "Best Sustainable Project, Residential" in the Pembrokeshire Building Excellence Awards 2012.
